Boys Camp Williams Retreat

The boys participated in the obstacle course at Camp Williams last week.  Before each event they were given a task and had to accomplish it leaving no man behind. Some of the activities were crossing over and electric fence, they had to set up an observation point, move a cart load of critical supplies, and escape from a POW camp. They had a great time and of course good food, afterwards they went swimming. Thanks to all those who organized it!

Keller Williams-Day of Service

The pictures are of the Pierson Group, Keller Williams Realty’s “Red Day” of service. All their offices across the U.S. and internationally performed volunteer service  on Thursday, May 14th. The Pierson Group pulled weeds on our warning track and spread some clay along with red dirt around the infield. They also pulled weeds and laid wheelbarrows and shovels full of new sand in the volleyball pit. Thanks to our new friends and heroes from Keller Williams!

We will provide all the necessary tools and supplies for these projects. Please come with the appropriate dress attire – weather will be cooler with chance of precipitation.

A BBQ lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided.

Activities During the Christmas Break

During the Christmas break most of our students were able to go on a home visit, those that stayed behind had several activities to keep them busy.  Some of them included Minute to Win it Games, crafts, projects, going to movies, bowling, ginger bread houses and sporting activities. We returned to school last Monday to our “regular” routine.

Police Dog Training on West Ridge Academy Campus

A couple of times a year the Utah State troopers come here to use our campus to train their K9 dogs.  We had a group of officers here training their dogs in our homes, the gym, and outside on the campus grounds.  So if you saw lots of cop cars that is why.
