SPORTS UPDATE – West Ridge Loses Summer Baseball Opener

Last night West Ridge’s baseball team opened the summer baseball season with a game at West High. The Eagle’s started off hot and jumped out to a 4 – 1 lead.  West was able to score a run in the third inning to cut the lead in half. West was able to gain the lead by scoring 3 runs in the fifth inning. The Eagles put themselves in position to win the game in the top of the final inning, scoring three runs. Unfortunately West scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

This is the first time this group of boys have played together. They were disappointed about losing, but felt pretty good about their performance.
